Luminar - How To Fix Washed Out Images

If your images lack contrast, there are a few ways you can use to fix the problem using Luminar. In order of personal preference:

METHOD 1 - ENHANCE AI

This tool consists of two sliders:

1) Accent AI – Analyses your image to intelligently determine changes needed to shadows, highlights, white and black balance, contrast, tone, exposure, details, and more.

2) Sky Enhancer - Is able to detect the sky portions in the majority of images presented to it. It even recognizes the differences in an image between the sky and water elements such as oceans, streams, and lakes.

So as well as fixing contrast, if you are looking for a two-slider fixes-all approach, then Enhance AI is the place to go.

METHOD 2 - LIGHT

If you specifically want to target just the contrast then head to the Contrast slider in the Light Tool. This increases the contrast in a way that targets areas of your image that are lacking, in contrast, to help you avoid over-darkening areas of your image.

METHOD 3: SUPER CONTRAST

For a more manual approach, head to the Supercontrast Tool. From here you can individually edit the Highlights, Midtones, and Shadows using the respective sliders provided.
