Luminar AI - How To Remove Excessive Shine From Portraits

If you have a portrait with excessive shine on the skin due to reflected light, you can use Skin AI to eliminate the issue. Luminar does this automatically using Artificial Intelligence to detect faces in your image. Skin AI is in the Portrait section of the Tools Panel. The slider intuitively named Shine Removal helps you deal with the problem, moving the slider to the right gradually increasing the intensity.

I have found that you sometimes have to use high values with this effect to completely eliminate the problem. Shine Removal is often used in conjunction with skin-softening; using the Amount Slider.
