Lightroom - Make Images More Colorful

Robin Redbreast

Do you want to add more color to your images, but at the same time avoid the current internet trend of oversaturated overcooked images that make you sigh every time you see them posted on the web?

The answer is in the Basic Panel, and it's called the Vibrance slider. Vibrance is a form of saturation, but it saturates your image intelligently. Increasing the vibrance only targets tones that are not already saturated, and avoids those that are saturated. In this way, you can add more color and at the same time avoid things going radioactive.

By the way, if you do want the radioactive look. then by all means use the Saturation slider. Just because I don't use it, doesn't mean you don't have to :-)
